Considering poor latter half of ongoing monsoon season in Gujarat, the Water Resources department has corrected the rule level of Ukai dam in south Gujarat to 340 ft. It means, now onward the water will be released from Ukai dam only after the level of water is above 340 ft. As per conventional parameters, the level should be 335.36 ft today, 340 ft on 15 September and 345 ft on 1st October. Today’s level at Ukai is 333.50 ft which is less than the pre-decided rule level. The new rule level for 2-15 September period has been therefore decided at 340 ft.
