Sharma told media persons that he had served police department for over 37 years. One year after retirement, I am joining Congress party in attempt to utilize my experience for welfare of people. Congress is India’s only political party that is determined to maintain democratic values and India’s unity. Provisions under article 1 and 2 of constitution are identical to Congress party’s constitution. Whoever is in power in state or centre, more important for me are values and principals. Congress party’s constitution before and after independence has been respectable and glorious for me. I will utilize my full efficiency to see how can I help maximum people. More and more industries and institutions will not be able to contribute to nation’s progress until law and order situation is proper.”
