46 AMTS buses to use BRTS corridor

Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Committee(AMTS) will run 46 buses on 4 routes in Bus Rapid Transit System(BRTS) corridor. The buses will use BRTS corridor wherever it is available on route. After passing through the BRTS corridor wherever it is available, the buses will use common lanes.
This will make AMTS transportation faster. AMTS and BRTS bus connectivity will be available on same bus-stop of BRTS. Traffic burden will decrease on common lanes next to BRTS corridor. Ticket rates and number of buses of AMTS will remain same.
The new system will be effective from 13 September.
