Rough elements in Patidar community continue to cross limits, going further low with extreme arrogance and mindlessness.
Bike of a person was torched by a group of Patidars just because owners were belonging to other community. While bike was burnt, those on bikes were thrashed.
A local newspaper reports: Two Koli community persons Himmat Makwana and Bhavesh Makwana who work at Akshar diamond were stopped by a group of Patidars in Yogi chowk area of Surat during a rally of ‘Tapu sena’ a childreen/teenage wing of Patidar community. Chanting ‘Jay Sardar’ ‘Jay Patidar’, the group of Patidars stopped a bike on which ‘Makwana’ surname was written. When asked about caste, two persons on bike replied they were from Koli community.
Angry group of Patidars then forced both persons to leave the bike and thrashed them. Victims had to run away and leave the place. Bike was burnt to ashes.
Sarthana police has booked Babu Sutaria(Mahalakshmi society, Yogi chowk), Chandu Sojitra(Krishna Park, Simada), Kappesh(Harekrushna residency), Raju Vadapao and a mob of 150-200 persons.
Koli community leaders led by Sanjay Rathod visited Sarthana police station and asked police to arrest the culprits.
