11 Shiv sainiks detained for ruckus in Pakistani artist program in Ahmedabad

11 activists of Shiv Sena were detained by police in Ahmedabad city of Gujarat today for creating ruckus in a musical function by Pakistan based artists led by Mekaal Hasan, police said.
The incident has taken place close on heels to the cancellation of a musical concert of Pakistani Ghazal singer Ghulam Ali in Mumbai owing to its oppose by the Sena.
Police said that the local Shiv Sena activists reached the venue of the function in C N Vidyalaya premises in Ambawadi area of the city this evening. Shouting anti Pakistan slogan they interrupted the program saying Pakistani artists should not be allowed to perform on the Indian soil.
Later a team of policemen from Ellis bridge police station arrived the scene and nabbed the 11 Shiv Sena activists.
The function was stopped mid way.
