Number of GSM mobile users in Gujarat reaches 4.78 crore

The total number of GSM mobile subscribers in Gujarat has increased by 6,20,294 during the month of September which was up by 1.31% from the figures of August, the official figures issued by TRAI said today.
The total number of such subscribers in the state has reached 4,78,03,786 by the end of September.
Vodafone with maximum 1,87,37,025 subscribers holds the top position in this regard while Idea with 1,16,03,066 was second. The All India rank one holder Bharti Airtel was in the third slot in Gujarat with 79,26,320 GSM subscribers.
Meanwhile the All India GSM cellular subscriber figures as of September stood at 733.14 million an increase of 7.04 million (0.97%) over the previous month.
Pan India Airtel with 235.21 million GSM subscribers was number one in this regard. UP ( East) circle with 64.73 million subscribers maintained the largest circle position while Idea with 2.64 million added the maximum subscribers during the month. State wise Karnataka saw the maximum new addition of 0.81 million.
