Rs 28.74 crore redevelopment project of Gopi Talav has been completed and inauguration is likely to take place in December along with the inauguration of revamped indoor stadium(Rs 17 crore). Gopi Talav which was once a dumping site for waste is located in central part of Surat. The Surat Municipal Corporation has spent Rs 28.47 crore to make Gopi Talav an ideal place for local visitors. Diamond zone, environment zone, history zone, communal harmony zone, textile zone, future zone and food court for Surti food are some highlights of this project.
