AAP leader’s all candidates loss election in Gujarat

As both candidates of Talaja taluka panchayat Aland-2 seat had got equal number of votes (211-211), a coin was tossed to determine who should be declared winner. Taluka’s chief electoral officer performed this job and luck was in favor to Congress candidate. If this seat had not gone to Congress candidate then there could be another tie. This time a tie of number of seats. If luck had favored BJP candidate, both parties could get equal number of seats (16-16). Worth noting that after this toss, Congress has 17 seats in Talaja taluka panchayat while BJP has won 15.

In another interesting development, Aam Aadmi Party(AAP)’s Gujarat unit leader Dr Kanubhai Kalsariya had fielded 9 independent candidates in Talaja taluka panchayat election. All of them have lost the poll.
