Over 150 nabbed for drinking liquor/rash driving on new year eve in Ahmedabad

Police in the city nabbed over 150 people for illegal drinking and rash driving during the new year eve celebrations.

Maximum number of such arrests have been reported from Vejalpur area (60) while around 31 including a drunken lady from Mumbai were nabbed in Satellite area, police said.

Around 20 people were nabbed for drinking/rash driving in Bopal locality during the new year eve parties for which elaborate security arrangements were made.

Around a dozen teams with alcoholic breath analyzers were also deployed to check drunken driving in this commercial capital of Gujarat, a dry state which complete ban on liquor.

The Mumbai lady identified and Vishakha Rajput was nabbed in drunken state with a liquor bottle near Iskon bridge, police said adding she had come to an acquaintance place.
