Two lion cubs found dead in Amreli village

Two lion cubs were found dead in Nageshri village of Jafrabad taluka of Amreli district today, police said.
The bodies of the two cubs aged between three to four months were seen trapped in a string made net fencing erected on the border of a vadi or field to save crops from wild animals in the village situated in the vicinity of Gir forests the sole abode of Asiatic lions, police said.
The forest department team has sent the bodies for post mortem to ascertain the exact reason of death.
