Average 75.14% polling in 27 Municipalities across Gujarat, counting on 23 Feb

Polling for general election of 27 municipalities across Gujarat was peaceful today. According to a statement issued by the State Election Commission, average polling has been 75.14% in general election while 63.74% in by-polls.
Counting of votes will take place on 23 February. Situation will be clear by afternoon.
The municipalities that witnessed polling today are Bareja, Damnagar Sojitra, Bhabhar, Amod, Valbhipur, Pethapur, Raval, Kanajari, Gandevi, Shahera, Vadali, mandvi, Patdi, Savli, Sutrapaada, Maliya Miyana, Bayad, Barwala, Sikka and Umargam.
Bypolls for vacant seats in municipalities were held in Gariyadhar for 11 seats and at Talaja, Visavdar, Manavadar, Bhanvad, Dhandhuka, Bavla, Vijapur for 1 seat each – this for total 18 seats.
