500 man-made water bodies for lions in Sasan Gir forest

Department of Forests, Government of Gujarat has filled over 500 man-made water bodies with water on the onset of summer. Water is filled using water tankers, wind mills, solar system and human power twice every day. Such water bodies are created especially at places where natural water sources are unavailable. According to DCF Dr Ram Ratan Lala, these arrangements are made due to poor monsoon last year.
