Rajya Sabha MP and senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel on Saturday led symbolic Dandi march held by Gujarat Congress in Ahmedabad.
He was joined by state Congress president and other senior leaders along with the cadre of city unit of Congress party. The symbolic march on anniversary of real Dandi march ended at Kochrab ashram in Paldi.

Addressing the cadre, Ahmed Patel said those who are in power at present are attempting various tricks to divert the attention of people from real issues and make allegations against Congress and Congress leaders.
He said the law of sedition is being misused to silent the people. Those who speak against government are painted as anti-nationals, such is the atmosphere in the contry.

He said ABVP and Sangh people commit atrocities on students who are into studies in educational institutes and universities in a bid to impose their ideology. One student had to commit suicide in Hyderabad. JNU student Kanhaiya had sought freedom from poverty and corruption. Economy has been in poor condition. In the name of national security, main issues are diverted. Pakistan NSA tells Indian NSA that terrorists have entered our territory. The question is, what was our intelligence agency was doing?
