Moderate tremor of intensity 3.9 in Kutch

A moderate jolt of earthquake was felt in Kutchdistrict of Gujarat this morning.
Institute of Seismological Research, Gandhinagar recorded the intensity of the only tremor felt at around 0946 hrs this morning at 3.9 at the richter scale.
The epicenter of the moderate tremor was 9 km North-NorthWest of Bhachau in Kutch.
Though many people in and around Bhachau felt the tremor no loss of life or property has been reported.
Kutch, which has seen a very devastating earthquake in 2001, is situated in high risk seismic zone 5.
