UGVCL implements SCADA

Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd(UGVCL) has become first power distribution company to have Superviser Control and Data Aquisition System(SCADA).
SCADA has been implemented with central government assistance of Rs 33.82 crore. It will cover all 19 sub stations and 12 sub divisions of UGVCL. Gandhinagar town will have SCADA control room for remote operation of SCADA.
When one feeder catches some trouble, SCADA will shift power distribution to another feeder in least possible time. This will strenthen the power distrbution system and not cause revenue loss due to power failure. Consumers will get quality power supply.
In this project, UGVCL is also pumping in Rs 75 crore.
