Adani Gas in Gujarat also reduces CNG and PNG prices

A day after the the reduction in Compressed Natural Gas(CNG) and Piped Natural Gas(PNG) by the government run Gujarat Gas Company Lt, private player Adani Gas also followed suit today decreasing the prices of CNG and PNG by 73 paisa and Rs 2.73 per unit respectively.

The Gujarat Gas had yesterday reduced PNG prices by Rs 2.77 per standard cubic meter from Rs 26.35 to Rs 23.58 per unit and CNG prices by 90 paisa/kg from Rs 45.65 to Rs 44.75 per kg.

A statement by the Adani Gas today said that it has decreased the prices of CNG from Rs 46.53 to 45.80 per kg (reduction of Rs.0.73 about 1.5%) and PNG From Rs. 22.69 to Rs. 19.96 per standard cubic meter (Rs. 2.73 ie about 12%).
It has attributed the reduction in prices to the revision of prices of domestic natural gas and the related “New Domestic Natural Gas Pricing Guidelines, 2014” issued by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG).

Adani Gas serves about 220,000 households and approximately 150,000 CNG users in Ahmedabad and Vadodara, its area of operation in Gujarat.
