Gujarat CM solves people’s problems at taluka-level Lok Samvad

Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, who launched the third edition of the statewide Lok Samvad Setu programme for on-the-spot solution of people’s problems from Jamangar in the forenoon, stayed back to redress the taluka-level problems at Kalawad.

Out of 163 problems raised at the programme at the mamlatdar office at Kalawad, 149 problems were settled by the end of the day. They included issues pertaining to panchayat 38, roads and buildings 31, land records 20, water supply 19, electricity supply 17, mamalatdar office 13, irrigation 7, education 4, health 2 and other departments 12.

The Chief Minister took keen interest in the issues raised, asked the officials to take a humane approach and directed them how to tackle the problems to the satisfaction of the complainants, like deploying tankers for supplying water, checking water thefts, inviting fresh petitions. She opined that there is no dearth of grants. What is needed is the channelization of funds at the right place.

The meeting was held in the presence of MP Poonamben Madam, MLAs Meghji Chavda and Chimanbhai Shapariya, Nagarpalika President PP Thesia, In-charge Secretary V.P. Patel, Collector R.J. Makadia, Resident Additional Collector Ketan Thakkar, Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sejul. TDO V.G. Vasoya, office-bearers and people.
