Amreli
At a time when a fatwa by Islamic Institution Darul Uloom of Deoband situated in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh against saying ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ by Muslims, has created a major controversy, a trust in Amreli district of Gijarat has, in an apparent counter-measure, made writing this patriotic slogan compulsory on the admission forms of various educational units run by it.
Trustee of the Patel Ashram trust and former Gujarat minister Dilip Sanghani who is currently vice-president of NAFED today said that the decision has been taken by the board of trustees and a resolution in this regard has been passed.
‘To secure admission in the educational units run by our trust including two primary schools, one high school and a college, It will be a must to write Bharat Mata Ki Jai on the admission forms,’ Mr. Sanghani also a senior BJP leader from Saurashtra region said.
He said that those forms which don’t have the slogan written on them would be rejected. ‘Educational Institutions should be the place where the roots of patriotism should be made stronger in the students. And saying Bharat Mata ki Jai was a clear mark of respect to our beloved motherland. One must chant it and write it to if he or she wishes to get entry in to our institutions. If any one is unwilling to do so he will not get admission,’ Mr. Sanghani said.
