Sabardan factory working under Sabar dairy in north Gujarat has suspended a shift supervisor and given show-cause notices to three other shift supervisors following deaths of 13 cattle that consumed defective Sabardan.
On last Monday and Tuesday, cattle died in Kadiyadra, Bhetali, Narsinhpura, Ratanpur etc places after consuming Sabardan cattle feed.
Sarbarda included 50% DRB(diont rice brand), 10% rice polish, 10% guar bhardo, 10% guar chudi, 10% corn and in rest 10% gol rasi, meghna milk(slow release nitrogen). It is necessary to ensure that each portion is mixed in perfect measurement, otherwise the mix proves dangerous for cattle. Laboratory check, sample testing are also part of the process before finalization and dispatch.
