Shops/offices in two commercial buildings sealed by AMC

The teams of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation today sealed New York tower in Thaltej area and Sarjan tower in Memnagar area for lack of fire safety system installed.
Managers of both these buildings were asked to install fire safety system on last 4 March, but even after one month they didn’t take any action to install the system. 45 shops were sealed in new York tower, while three offices of advocates were not sealed due to directive by High Court.
Sarjan Tower’s 25 shops in L and M blocks were sealed while clinics of two doctors and cooperative bank ATM were not sealed due to high court directive.
The AMC has slapped notices to 1,000 high rise buildings, of which commercial buildings will face action.
