Local Congress leader in Gujarat nabbed for ST bus burning incident

A local congress leader has been nabbed from his native village Derdi Kumbhaji of Gondal Taluka police station in Rajkot district in connection with a case related to burning of two buses of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation during the violent Patidar quota stir in August last year.
Police said that Savji Shambhubhai Visavadiya, a local congress leader and one of the total 30 accused of case number 136/15 pertaining to burning of the 2 ST buses in the night of August 25 last year in his native village Derdi Kumbhaji was nabbed last night.
He was one of the two accused who were at large. Police had nabbed the other 28 earlier.
With the arrest of Savji, the only absconding accused now is Arvind Gaud for whom a hunt was already on, police said.
