Patidar agitation outfit gives ‘Gujarat Bandh’ call on Monday

Patidar Anamant Aandolan Samiti (PAAS) has called for a ‘Gujarat Bandh’ tomorrow to protest against the arrest of Sardar Patel Group leader Lalji Patel and other agitators during a jail bharo campaign of the outfit demanding release of the jailed PAAS leader Hardik Patel and others and withdrawal of all cases pertaining to the Patidar quota stir.
PAAS bandh call will coincide with the date of an important meeting of the seven ministers committee in Gandhinagar in connection with the resolution of around nine month old patidar reservation stir.
Meanwhile, Police has been put on alert in various area of Ahmedabad, Surat and other cities of the state in the wake of today’s incident as a precautionary measure.
Government spokesperson and heath minister Nitin Patel appealed the people to maintain peace and order.
In-charge DGP of the state P P Pandey said that police was forced to baton charge to maintain law and order.
