Gujarat govt extends last date of waiver scheme for farmers

Gujarat government has extended the period of the irrigation charges interest waiver scheme to 13 October 2016. According to a statement issued by state government, the decision has been taken as farmers are occupied in agricultural works at present. The earlier last date of this scheme was 30th April. According to a statement issued y government, if amount for illegally lifted water as on 31st March 2016 is paid by 30th April 2016, then entire amount of interest, amount of fine and interest on fine is suitable for waiver.
