AMC planning to build a river bridge for walkers at Sabarmati River Front

Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) is planning to build a foot over bridge over river Sabarmati connecting the east and west portions of Sabarmati riverfront.
For now the proposal is at concept level. AMC has invited experienced consultant through expression of interest procedure. Sabarmati River Front Development Corporation Ltd will appoint consultant and get design, on the basis of which construction procedure will kick off.
Foot overbridge which may see expenditure of Rs 5-7 crore will come up between Swami Vivekanand bridge and Sardar bridge. It will be approximately 300 meter long and 25-30 ft wide bridge.
