Gujarat based Astral to start work on fourth manufacturing unit in Rajasthan soon

Ahmedabad: Gujarat headquartered leading Indian pipe and fittings manufacturer Astral Poly Technik Limited will start construction work of its fourth plant soon.

Addressing a press conference here on the occasion of the launch of its new product along with the officials of its strategic partner Japanese multinational company Sekisui Chemical Ltd, MD of Astral, Sandeep Engineer today said that his company has so far spent around Rs 70 crore for land acquisition and other works for the new plant in Ghiloth in neighbouring Rajasthan. ‘We will initially make only CPVC pipes (plastic pipes) for water supply purposes. The fitting etc will be made after few years of operations. The construction work will start this month (in a week or two),’ he said.

The Ahmedabad based company has currently 3 pipe and fittings production facilities. Of them two are in Ahmedabad district in Santej and Dholka. The third one is in Hosur in Tamilnadu.

The manufacturer of Plumbing systems, Drainage systems, Agriculture, Industrial and Electrical Conduit Pipes with all kinds of necessary fittings. was established in 1999 with the aim to manufacture pro-India plumbing and drainage systems in the country.
