Congress, NGOs playing ‘dirty politics’ on Una, Thangadh keeping UP polls in mind:Dushyant

Ahmedabad: National President of BJP’s Scheduled Caste Front (Anusoochit Jati Morcha) Dushyant Gautam today said that Congress and other opposition parties were trying to disturb the social harmony by trying to play ‘dirty politics’ on Una dalit atrocity incident keeping in mind the upcoming UP assembly polls.

Addressing a press conference here in the BJP’s city office Mr Dushyant said that his front and other BJP workers in Gujarat would launch programmes in coming days to expose such dirty politics of Congress and other opposition parties. “Under it the party workers will contact the Dalit communities and expose the designs of the opposition. They will also be apprised of the quick steps taken by the state government,’ he said.

Mr Gautam said that the Narendra Modi government at center and Rupani government in Gujarat were implementing many pro-people welfare schemes. The opposition has become fearful of Mr Modi’s and Mr Ruapni’s popularity and for political reasons it was trying to give a political colour to Una incident.

He said that some so called NGO’s and Congress were also trying to politicize the Thangarh incident. ‘The incidents that took place in Gujarat were no doubt condemnable but incidents of rapes of Dalit women and other more heinous crimes against the community had taken place in Uttar Pradesh, the home state of Mayavati (BSP leader) and other Congress ruled states. But the political elements which turned a blind eye to these cold blooded criminal incidents against Dalits elsewhere are now trying to blow the Gujarat incident out of proportion keeping in mind the upcoming UP assembly election,’ he said.
