Junagadh: In a peculiar incident, a heavy-weight bull today climbed up to the terrace of a four storied building in Junagadh city of Gujarat.
Later in a daredevil act of sorts, it jumped on an adjoining three storied building.
The trapped bull on the terrace was later rescued by a team of local fire control office after a two hours long operation.
Fire Officer Swastik Jadeja and fireman Kamlesh Purohit (who was part of the six member rescue team) said that the beast some-how made his way up to the terrace of Malhar apartment situated in Kadiavad area of the city.
‘The building has no lift facility and the bull went up to the terrace though stairs. On getting a call our team went there at around 930 am this morning and amid the gathering of large number of onlookers, the poor beast jumped off to a three storied adjoining building,’ Mr Purohit said.
‘We did not use any tranquilizer etc to make the bull unconscious. We some-how tied its legs and pulled it up to 12 ft height on the terrace of the 4 storied building where it had first arrived. From there it was brought down carefully through stairs,’ he said.
The fireman said that thankfully the beast despite his dangerous adventure of jumping from one roof to the other was not injured seriously.
‘It was left on the streets after an around two hours long operation,’ he said adding that bulls and other bovine beasts can climb stairs but can’t come down at there own.
