Surat civil hospital may get heart institute

Surat: The city of Surat may get heart institute in the state government run civil hospital. The government presently has heart institute in Ahmedabad civil hospital.
Proposed heart hospital in Surat will have pact with Ahmedabad based UN Mehta hear institute. MoS Health Shankarbhai Chaudhary yesterday paid surprised visit to Surat civil hospital and indicated that new heart hospital would come up with grant allocation of Rs 2.50 crore.
It will come up on one entire floor of Kidney institute. In-principal decision has been taken in this regard and proposal will soon be moved.
Minister Chaudhary visited under-construction kidney department and soon-to-be-opened stemcell department in civil hospital complex.
