SMC completes Rs 389 crore projects

Surat: Surat Municipal Corporation(SMC) has completed some major development projects worth Rs 389 crore, inauguration of which is likely to take place soon in presence of Chief Minister.
Among the projects that are nearly ready for opening are Rs 69 crore BRTS phase-2 routes from Magob bus-stop to Hirabag and Hirabag to Kansanagar lake garden, Rs 107 crore wind power plant at Nakhatrana in Kutch, Rs 38 crore Bhestan level crossing number 143 railway over bridge, community hall, vegetable market, mutton market near Zampa bazar, affordable housing units at Katargam, Pal, Vesu, Magdalla. Ground breaking of over 5,000 affordable housing units under Pradhanmantri Aavas Yoajana and 3,000 housing units under Smart City Mission.
