Long queues at Petrol Pumps, ATMs before midnight

Ahmedabad: There were long queues at ATMs, Gold/Jewellery shops and Petrol Pumps soon after the announcement by Prime Minister regarding invalidity of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes. Many petrol pumps refused to accept the currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 even before midnight. Even small time vendors had started refusing to accept Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.
