BJP’s win shows Janakrosh is against Congress, Jansamarthan with Modiji: Rupani
November 29, 2016
Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today said that the overwhelming win of the ruling BJP in three local bodies election and by polls on several such seats has proved that the common man was angry with Congress and in support of the demonetization move of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Talking to newsman after BJP won all the three local bodies (Vapi and Kanakpur-Kansad municipalities and Gondal Taluka Panchayat) and majority of seats that went for bypoll on November 27, Mr Rupani said that Congress was holding various demonstrations and protest rallies on demonetization issue but it all has proved to be a fiasco.
‘Congress was claiming that there was Jan Aakrosh (public anger) on the issue against Modi ji and the BJP. But now it is proved beyond doubt that the anger is not against us but it is in fact against Congress itself,’ he said,
Mr Rupani, who took over from Mrs Anandiben Patel during whose regime ruling BJP had faced a jolt in the local body polls in November last year, said,’ on the one hand the people have shown that their aakrosh (anger) is against Congress they have also given a message that the Jansamarthan (peoples support) rather than so called Janakrosh is with Modi ji.’
