IT search at Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary’s residence

Chennai: Income Tax department has carried out search at Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary Ram Mohan Rao’s residence today. The search operation is underway at present.
Income Tax department search started at around 5.00 am. About 7 other places are also witnessing Income Tax search in this connection.
Searches are being carried out after connection between Shekhar Reddy and Ram Mohan Rao was clearly established by Income Tax department.
Ram Mohan Rao’s residence is located in Anna Nagar area of Chennai. Ram Mohan Rao has controversial record. When he was given additional charge of Vigilance department without an additional chief secretary to assist him, opposition party DMK had opposed his appointment apprehending large-scale corruption.
