December 21, 2016
Bhuj: The five Pakistani boats and 26 fishermen aboard nabbed in Indian waters off Gujarat coast yesterday were brought to Jakhau today for further interrogation, however, no objectionable or suspicious thing has been recovered from them.
Of the 26 nabbed Pakistanis two were said to be minors. They all seem to be normal fishermen who had intentionally or inadvertently entered the Indian waters. Some fishing equipment have been found in their possession, a coast guard official said.
They were caught by the extra vigilant coast guards in the wake of a major marine oil spill combat exercise Swachchh Lehar in the gulf of Kutch by Indian agencies to be held for two days from December 21. They were caught deep in to the sea near International Maritime Boarder line off Jakhau coast.
