Std 4 student in Surat dies as school gate falls

Surat: A student of Std 4 of a government run primary school in Limbayat area of Surat today died a tragic death when the gate of the school suddenly fell over him.

Police said that Kunal B Chaudhary (09), a student of class 4 in the Prathmik Sikshan Samiti School in Limbayat area was playing near the gate of the school during the lunch recess when the incident took place. The heavy iron gate of the school, which was said to be in existence since last around one year only, suddenly fell over the boy injuring him badly.

He was taken to a hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
