Gandhinagar: Total 25,578 MoUs are signed during the present version of Vibrant Gujarat Summit according to Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel.

Patel while speaking in valedictory function of Vibrant Gujarat Summit said, the number of MoUs signed in previous edition of Vibrant Gujarat Summit was 22,602.

Patel said as many as 18,533 of total MoUs are signed in micro, small and medium(MSME) sectors, up from 17,081 in previous summit.

In large scale(beyond Rs 10 crore in plant and machinery – not land and building) industries category, 5,938 MoUs are signed.

MoUs signed with commitment above Rs 10 crore investment are 5938 this time against 4223 such MoUs in previous summit.

MoUs for strategic partners have been 1,107 this time.

Sector wise MoUs:

Agro and food processing sector: 381 MoUs signed.
Animal Husbandry, fisheries, cooperatives: 493 MoUs.
Petrochemicals, Chemicals and large projects through GIDC: 268 MoUs.
Education: 190 MoUs signed.
Engineering and Automobile:
Financial Service:259
Health: 285 MoUs in medical and pharma sector.
Industrial park and logistic park: 123 MoUs signed
Information Technology and Biotechnology: 147
Minerals: 409
Port based network: 87 MoUs
Power, Oil, Gas: 425 MoUs
Road and Rail: 41 MoUs
Rural development: 380 MoUs
Urban Housing: 167 MoUs
Skill development: 89 MoUs
Special Investment Region, Infra project: 28 MoUs signed.
Sports and Culture: 7 MoUs
Textile and apparels: 151 MoUs signed
Tourism and Civil Aviation: 145 MoUs signed
Urban development: 1625 MoUs signed
Water supply: 51 MoUs

Thus total 25578 MoUs are signed, said Patel.

Patel said Gujarat will emerge as highest car producer state of India in next five years.

Sharing the sector wise details of MoUs, each above Rs 4,000 crore investment commitment, Nitin Patel said: Agro Food 2, Chemical Petrochemical 2, Engineering and Auto 4, Financial service 12, IT and BT 2, Mineral 2, Port development 3, Power and gas 9, Road and rail project 1, Special investment region 6, Tourism 4, Urban development 3, Water supply 2 – total 52 MoUs, each has over Rs 4,000 crore value.
