Gujarat cabinet approves 12 bills for upcoming budget session of assembly

Gandhinagar: Cabinet meeting of Gujarat government on Wednesday approved 12 bills to move in upcoming budget session of assembly. They are Adijati university bill to set up first tribal university in Gujarat, town planing and urban development amendment bill, provincial municipal corporation act amendment bill, Gujarat panchayat adhiniyam amendment bill, Gujarat jamin toch maryada amendment bill, bill to approve benefits of medical treatment to former MLAs in private hospitals, Gujarat prohibition amendment bill, Cigarette and other tobacco product amendment bill to make it possible to ban hookah bars, CRPC act bill to make it possible to produce prisoners in court via video conferencing, maritime board administrative amendment bill, Adivasi vikas nigam’s share capital increase related bill and Gujarat organic agriculture university bill. No bill/draft has been put online or in public for discussion and debate. Like always, the state government has against worked secretly. Like always, content of the bill will be available selectively to public only after bill is passed in the house.
