Hardik Patel faces violent protest in Saurashtra from Leuva Patidars

Rajkot: Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti(PAAS) leader Hardik Patel who is Kadva Patel from North Gujarat today faced opposition at Jetpur in Saurashtra region from Leuva Patel section youths of Patidar community. Slogans were chanted against Hardik Patel during his visit to Jetpur today afternoon. Leuva Patel cadre pelted stone on Hardik’s convoy when he was on way to garland Sardar Patel’s statue. In response to this PAAS cadre also hit back. Patidar youths from both groups were seen moving on road with sticks in hands. Police soon intervened and control the situation. It should be mentioned here that section 144 has been imposed here in connection with Hardik’s visit. Hardik alleged that the attack was triggered by BJP minister, and there was no division among Patidars. He said he would not go back without seeking blessings at Bhojalram bapa place. Hardik faced opposition due to allegations against him by section of Patidars pertaining to alleged misuse of funds and misleading the community. Hardik’s aide Dinesh Patel who is booked by police for cheating today told media persons, “we are attacked by stones. We will respond to it. We are not cowards.” Superintendent of Police(SP) Rajkot district Antrip Sood said those who were involved in violence with sticks in their hands are to be held. Police has controlled the situation and patrolling is going on.” One of protestors from Leuva Patel community, Natubhai Patel said, “Hardik should give details that why those dead during quota agitation are not given financial assistance. Where did the fund meant for them go? Hardik should tell how reservation quota is possible for Patidars? Hardik should also answer why he was speaking in Hindi while addressing gathering at GMDC ground and who was giving him directions.” According to local police, several vehicles of Hardik Patel supporters including that of Manoj Panara from Morbi in which weapons are found have been detained and taken to police station.

Complaint against Hardik aide:

Complaint has been filed against Hardik Patel aide Dinesh Bambhania in Bhaktinagar police station of Rajkot by Bambhania’s sister and her husband. According to complainant Sureshbhai, Dinesh had through forgery withdrew 18 cheque from Sureshbhai’s credit facility with the hep of Dena bank employees. The total figure of cheating is Rs 1.97 crore according to complaint by Sureshbhai Maravia. Rajesh Umretia is another accused in this case as per the complaint. Dinesh lured Sureshbhai and got approval of Rs 1.97 crore cash credit for business development and withdrew this amount from Sureshbhai’s bank account between 8 August 2013 and 17 August 2013 via 18 cheques and transferred the fund to his own Shrinathji Cotex Private Ltd using RTGS. Bambhania is booked under section 406,467 and 468. Bambhania has been booked in at least two other cheating complaints also in the past for cheating.

Complaint against four Hardik aides:

Four PAAS leaders who are aides of Hardik Patel including Sabva and Dhandhal are booked for kidnapping on complaint of opponent group of Leuva Patels.
