Gujarat BJP suspends five Councillors of Bayad municipality

Gandhinagar: State BJP president Jitubhai Vaghani has suspended five Councillors of Bayad municipality from the party with immediate effect, said state party spokesperson Bharat Pandya in a statement issued here today.
The names of suspended members are Jyotika J Patel, Vimla P Patel, Falguni N Patel, Arvind R Prajapati and Arvind J Patel.
According to statement, ‘the decision to suspend them has been taken due to anti-party activity.’ ‘Suspended members had moved no confidence motion against municipality president Varun S Patel and voted against him’, the statement said.
Bayad is located in Arvalli district of north Gujarat.
