Rajkot time bomb case: 4 including main culprit nabbed

Rajkot/Ahmedabad: Making a breakthrough in the sensation Rajkot time bomb case after over a month, the crime branch of Ahmedabad police today nabbed the main culprit his two young sons and wife in this connection today from Jasdan area of Rajkot district, DCP Dipen Bhadran who led the team that nabbed the culprits said.

He said that the the main culprit Dinesh Patel had old animosity with Jignesh Bakrania near whose house the bomb was recovered on February 14. His tow young sons and wife have also been nabbed for their involvement in the conspiracy, he said.

The timer fitted bomb kept in a box was found in the morning of February 14 near the house of one Jignesh Bakrania in Ambedkarnagar area under Malviyanagar police station of the city.

The sensational recovery of the time bomb which would have exploded in around an hour if not diffused and could have done considerable damage in the periphery of around 15 meters, had prompted the local police to seek assistance from the Anti Terrorist Squad also. The call details and activities of some persons who were not at good-terms with Jignesh, the house-owner was investigated. Also to zero-in on the culprits, details of sale and purchase of Gelatin in the recent past was tracked.

The major details would be shared during a press conference of senior crime branch official J K Bhatt tomorrow.
