A total of 13 places crossed 40 °C mark today including Amreli, Bhuj, Kandla, VV Nagar, Mahuva and Bhavnagar.

The hot northerly and northwesterly wind blowing at lower level coming from neighbouring Rajasthan is causing the abrupt rise in temperatures and heat wave.
