Crime Branch bust two more call centers in Ahmedabad involved in duping US citizens

Ahmedabad: The crime branch of Ahmedabad police today busted two more call centers involved in duping US citizens and arrested 13 people including a lady in this connection, Crime Branch officer J S Gedam said.

Based on a tip off a raid was conducted in a complex (Signature) near Sanand crossing and the two call centers run from different flats on the same floor were sealed.

Altogether 13 persons including its main operators have been nabbed in this connection with 7 arrested from one while six from the other. One of the arrested was a lady. Like many of the recently busted call centers, these two were also involved in duping US citizens in the name of tax and other financial transactions.

15 desktop computers, 3 laptops and 11 magic jack and some other equipment have been seized from there, Gedam said.
