Congress needs 108 ambulance for quick hospitalization: Ruapni on Vaghela’ remark
May 01, 2017
Ahmedabad/Dediapada: In an interesting war of words between ruling BJP and Congress over their claims about number of seats they expected to win in this year’s assembly election in Gujarat, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today took a jibe at leader of opposition Shankersinh Vaghela for his remark that his party would win 108 seats.
Vaghela in an interaction with media and later while addressing a public meeting at Dediapada in presence of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi had said that while BJP was claiming to get over 150 seats in 182 member assembly, Congress would win 108 seats and majority to give it a attack (heart attack).
Reacting to this CM Rupani sounded quite satirical. ” Shankersinh Bapu (Vaghela) is right when talks about 108 (he said referring to the phone number associated with free ambulance service in the state). Congress is in such a situation that it needs the 108 ambulance so that it is quickly taken to the hospital for treatment,’ he said.
Vaghela while talking to a Gujarati channel had earlier said that Congress needed just 108 seats with majority so that its ambulance (he was also referring to the same medical emergency number) runs and starts the treatment of the system of the state which has been put in illness during longtime BJP rule.
Notably, BJP is in power in Gujarat for around two decades now. After the grand win in UP with over 300 seats, it has given a slogan of 300+ in UP, 150+ in Gujarat.
