500 meter area around parking complexes declared no-parking zone

Surat: As road-side parking is very convenient, fast and free, most people in Surat stay way from using 9 multi level parking complexes built by local civic body. Surat Police Commissioner has now issued a notification prohibiting parking of vehicles in 500-meter area around each of 9 parking complexes. Due to traffic jam situation in busy areas of Surat, local civic body has built 9 parking complexes. However people stay away from using it and park their vehicles on road-side. This has continued to create traffic problem. Police has now declared 500 meter area around parking complexes as no-parking zone therefore.
