Gandhinagar: Taking a cue from the successful Vibrant Gujarat Global Summits, a leading outfit of the Patidar or Patel community in the state, today said that it has decided to organize Global Patidar Business Summit at the same venue Mahatma Mandir in capital Gandhinagar from January 5 to 7 next year.
Ahmedabad based Sardardham Vishwa Patidar Kendra whose trustees are many big names of this politically and economically strong community in the state including Lavjibhai Daliya Badshah (who is organizing Rs 200 crore Badshah Sukanya bond distribution events for girl child of the community since last year), is going to organize the summit.
Trustee of the Kendra Gagji Sutaria in presence of Lavjibhai Daliya today told newsmen here that there were three main goals of the first edition of the summit.
‘Creating new entrepreneurs among Patidars by guidance from veteran Industrialists of the community. Making arrangements for large-scale training and absorption of educated Patidar youths in various Industrial units run by the Industrialists of the community. And the third one was providing opportunity to small and medium scale industries in the state to connect with big global players,’ he said.
Sutaria, however, clarified that the event won’t be exclusive for Patidar community and others could also freely participate in it.
He said that they were getting overwhelming response for the event and against the initial estimates to set up 500 stalls, they have so far got requests for around 650. ‘We will have to expand the area of our exhibition segment owing to this,’ he said.
Sutaria who was also the head of the Ahmedabad Chapter of Sardardham, said that there would be 10% discount in the fees for participation in the exhibition for small enterprises of Patidars with less than Rs one crore turnover and 20% for the one with women as its directors.
