Centre extends last date of Tuver purchase on support price in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: The government of India has extended the last date of Tuver purchase from farmers on support price to 31st of May this year. The Centre has taken this decision in response to representation made by the State government. It should be mentioned here that the time limit for 50,000 mt Tuver purchase was ending on 15th of May. It has been now extended to 31st of May. The government has completed purchase of 20,500 mt Tuver so far on support price from farmers at 24 centres. So far 1.25 lakh mt Tuver has been purchased on support price which is worth Rs 634 crore as per an estimate.
