‘Desperate’ Hardik issues another self-contradictory statement, says will be jailed again if BJP voted to power

Ahmedabad: PAAS leader Hardik Patel, who has seemingly lost much of ‘support and sheen’ post return to Gujarat after his six month exile and is now almost openly supporting the main opposition Congress, today again gave a ‘self-contradictory’ statement.

Hardik had soon after UP assembly poll results (in which BJP won overwhelmingly with over 300 seats), had said that the ruling BJP in Gujarat might win again in this year’s assembly election in the state but recently claimed that BJP won’t win in any case. Today he said that he would be jailed again if BJP is voted to power.

After sending ‘messengers’ to state Congress president Bharatsinh Solanki (for which he was criticized by many from his own outfit) recently to get assurance (and some much needed publicity to some-how keep his badly damaged wagon going) , he is now also saying that he was ready to talk to BJP government also. Though those who have even faintest of idea of his stands in the past can make it out that it was nothing but another gimmick. Political observers believe that he had almost made up his mind to go with Congress and would try to put the government in an ‘impossible’ situation if invited for talks.

Seemingly desperate over his thinning support and many recent flop meetings coupled with the said internal bickering in his outfit, Hardik was seemingly trying all out to get some publicity to be in the lime-light.

He today again said that BJP will not win even 80 seats in the 182 member assembly in the polls, despite its slogan of winning 150+ seats. Hardik, who was once deemed close to AAP and its leader Arvind Kejriwal, was now almost openly supporting Congress, said that apart from Congress, the BJP would have to face Patidars and Dalits also.

The PAAS leader who has been leveled with allegations of misuse of funds collected for agitation for personal luxury by his once most closes aides like Chirag and Ketan Patel, used to term senior Patidar community leader and DyCM cum Finance minister Nitin Patel and other Patel ministers and leaders in BJP as ‘betrayers’ earlier but off late he has stared using term ‘innocent person’ (more in the sense of fool) for the DyCM.

He has also announced to shave off his head on May 21 during a so-called Nyay Yatra in Botad of Saurashtra, which many political observers see as another desperate attempt or political stunt to draw attention. He has also said that he would hold a massive meeting at ‘some’ place in Ahmedabad on June 11.
