Bharatsinh, Shankersinh, Gehlot meet Rahul Gandhi over Gujarat polls

New Delhi: Gujarat Congress president Bharatsinh Solanki, Leader of Opposition Shankersinh Vaghela and State party incharge Ashok Gehlot today met party’s Vice President and top decision maker Rahul Gandhi in Delhi.

Congress is doing well, our organization is strong, there are divisions in BJP. Congress is united. Congress will come to power this time.

Shankersinh wanted to meet Rahul Gandhi last month as he had several complains against the party leadership over preparedness for Gujarat polls but Rahul was traveling abroad. Rahul after 17-day long vacation in Europe came back on July 1 and yesterday called Vaghela, Solanki and Gehlot to Delhi. Gehlot and Solanki had to leave their South Gujarat tour suddenly and rushed to Delhi.

Today Vaghela, Gehlot and Solanki reached Solanki’s place one-by-one and even left the place separately. Solanki claimed that Rahul held one-to-one meeting with three.

Solani said he invited Rahul Gandhi to address public meetings in Gujarat. He added that dates for these meetings are not finalized yet.

Gujarat is going to witness general election of assembly later this year, possibly in the month of December.
