Police lays trap, nabs well known doctor in Surat for involvement in fetus sex test

Surat: Police in Surat has nabbed a well know local doctor R Gujarati in connection with a trap case regarding detection of sex of foetus in which a total of 4 people including another doctor and a nurse have been made accused.

PI of Sachin police station area of the city F B Pathan today said that the district health department had laid the trap by sending a woman to the doctor who had agreed to test the sex of the fetus after taking Rs 15000/-.

He said that after the trap laid two days back a case was lodged in this regard.

Of the four accused one R Guajrati has been nabbed while attempts to nab remaining three including one Dr Rahul Patel, a nurse and a driver was being made.

The woman sent by health department was taken to a private hospital in Athwa area of the city for tests.
