BJP will get three more votes than needed to win all three seats: Bhupendra Yadav
August 07, 2017
Gandhinagar: Gujarat BJP incharge Bhupendra Yadav today while interacting with media persons outside the State BJP headquarters said: Today our MLAs reviewed tomorrow’s elections and I want to tell you with confidence that BJP is going to win all three seats tomorrow and we are stepping ahead in direction of Congress-free Gujarat. Our all three MLAs are going to win with very good votes. Congress in this election breached all limits of expressions and liberty. Congress MLAs left citizens in natural calamity and went to Bangalore resort and even after coming back to Gujarat, Congress is in so much fear that families of MLAs couldn’t celebrate Raksha Bandhan. Ahmed Patel is in fear and it is visible in his statements. We have three more votes than needed to win. Our mathematics is complete, our support is complete. Out of total voters list of 176, we will get 3 more votes than needed. We are going to get votes from all sides. We are going to get votes from the people who are there(in Congress camp). Congress compelled its MLAs to go out of their constituency and live in resort. Their fear indicate that they don’t trust the MLAs who are staying with them.
Polling for three seats of Rajya Sabha is going to be held tomorrow at Gandhinagar. The candidates are Amit Shah, Smriti Irani, Balwantsinh Rajput from BJP and Ahmed Patel from Congress. There are total 176 MLAs who are eligible to cast votes in tomorrow’s election. Winning mark is 45 votes. BJP has 121 MLAs, Congress has 51 MLAs( six MLAs resigned while 7 are sulking and may not vote for Congress candidate)NCP has 2 MLAs, JDU has 1 and dissolved party GPP has 1 MLA.

Gandhinagar: In-charge of Gujarat BJP Bhupendra Yadav today claimed that all the three party candidates (president Amit Shah, union minister Smriti Irani and Balwantsinh Rajput) would emerge victorious in tomorrow’s Rajyasabha election in the state.
He also claimed that BJP has at least 3 votes in excess to what was required to win all the 3 seats.
Yadav also said that the panicky shown by the sole Congress candidate Ahmed Patel was a testimony to his defeat. ‘We are moving towards a permanent congress free Gujarat,’ he said.
Talking to newsmen in BJP state headquarters after a meeting of the party legislature party in which Shah was also present, Yadav said that Congress MLA’s deserted the people in the need of hour during the flood to stay and enjoy in a resort in Bengaluru and now on coming back to Gujarat they have been held hostage again in such a way that they could not celebrate Rakshabandhan even with their family members.
‘I want to ask Congress if it had also not allowed its MLA’s to be with their families even if it was another big festival,’ he said.
On another query, he said the ‘arithmetic of election should be asked from those (Congress) who got 13 votes less than its total MLA’s (in Presidential elections).
The party in panicky has held hostage its MLA’s in Gujarat also,’ he said.
