Jihadis responsible for Godhara train burning must be hanged, Gujarat govt should appeal: Togadia
October 09, 2017
Ahmedabad: VHP president Pravin Togadia today showed his dissatisfaction to the Gujarat High Court order commuting the death sentences of 11 convicts of Godhra train burning incident to Life imprisonment and appealed the Gujarat government to file an appeal against it in the Supreme Court before Diwali.
Togadia sought death sentence for all those ‘Jihadis’ involved in burning Hindus in Godhara as a planned conspiracy.
In a statement issued by him today he said, ‘why not death by hanging to Jihadis who burnt 57 Hindus in Godhra with planned conspiracy. This is an insult to the sacrifice by those 57 and all Hindus.”
The statement further said, ‘ Why not justice to Ram Devotees in Gujarat. Gujarat govt must before this Diwali immediately appeal in the hon. supreme court against Gujarat HC order.’
